Get through to Ryanair without the hold queue
Ryanair's phone line is built to be the last resort, and the rules make sure of it: ring from the number on the booking or you'll be turned away, and if your flight is more than a month off they'll send you to chat. For a problem inside that window, it's the route that gets a person.
Ryanair customer service
0113 868 4151- Opening hours
- Mon to Fri 8am to 8pm, Sat and Sun 9am to 6pm
- When you ring
- You must call from the mobile number on the booking, and have the booking reference ready. If the flight is more than 30 days away you're sent to live chat.
- Worth knowing
- Phone support is narrow by design. A call from a number that isn't on the booking gets nowhere, and anything done by phone costs more than online. Chat is the main channel.
Number checked against Ryanair's own site on 10 October 2026. Call charges may apply if you ring it yourself.
What HoldMyCall does on a Ryanair call
- 1
Dials and waits
It rings 0113 868 4151, works through the menu and sits in the queue for up to an hour. You get on with your day.
- 2
Has the conversation
It introduces itself as an AI assistant calling on your behalf, gives the details you provided when asked, and keeps asking for the outcome you wanted.
- 3
Reports back
A summary, whether it got what you asked for, any reference numbers, and the full transcript and recording. If they insist on speaking to you, your phone rings and one keypress joins the live call.
Things people ask it to sort with Ryanair
Chase a refund
“A refund for a cancelled flight was approved weeks ago and hasn't been paid. Find out where it is and when it will arrive.”
Query a charge
“I've been charged for a bag I didn't add. Find out why and get it refunded.”
Claim delay compensation
“My flight was delayed by more than three hours. Find out whether compensation is due under UK261 and how to claim.”
Have these ready
Whether you ring or the assistant does, Ryanair will want some of these before they will talk about your account.
- Booking reference
- The mobile number used on the booking, to call from
- Flight numbers and dates
Save them once in Settings and every call starts with them filled in. The assistant only gives a detail when it is asked for it, and it is hard-coded to refuse payments and contract changes.
Other ways to reach Ryanair
You sometimes get an answer faster by another route. These are the ones Ryanair publishes.
- Live chat on help.ryanair.com; the chatbot runs 24 hours and agents 7 days a week
- Queries and feedback form on help.ryanair.com, answered within 10 working days
- Post-flight claim forms on help.ryanair.com
If Ryanair won't sort it
Submit the queries and feedback form. Ryanair says it answers within 10 working days.
AviationADR. Free, after Ryanair's final written answer or 8 weeks without one, and within 12 months of that answer. The CAA lists AviationADR as Ryanair's scheme; Ryanair's own help pages don't mention it.
Let it ring Ryanair for you.
