HoldMyCall

Get through to Evri without the hold queue

Evri (the old Hermes) delivers a huge share of UK online orders, and its phone line is built to keep you away from a human. The voice assistant will try to close your query itself. If you need an actual answer about where a parcel is, you have to get past it, and that takes patience.

Evri customer service

0330 808 5456
Opening hours
Line open 24 hours; advisors Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm, Sat 8am to 2pm
When you ring
A voice assistant looks your parcel up from the number you're calling from. If that fails it asks for the last 8 digits of the tracking number on the keypad.
Worth knowing
Famously hard to reach a person. The voice assistant handles most calls itself and may only offer to take a message and call you back within 24 hours. Advisor hours are short.

Number checked against Evri's own site on 10 October 2026. Call charges may apply if you ring it yourself.

What HoldMyCall does on a Evri call

  1. 1

    Dials and waits

It rings 0330 808 5456, works through the menu and sits in the queue, however long it takes. You get on with your day.

  2. 2

    Has the conversation

It introduces itself as an AI assistant calling on your behalf, gives the details you provided when asked, and pushes politely for the outcome you wanted.

  3. 3

    Reports back

A summary, whether it got what you asked for, any reference numbers, and the full transcript and recording. If they insist on speaking to you, your phone rings and one keypress joins the live call.

Things people ask it to sort with Evri

  • Find a parcel that says delivered

“My parcel shows as delivered yesterday but I haven't received it. There's no photo and nothing with my neighbours. Find out where it was left and what happens next.”

  • Chase a stuck parcel

“My parcel has been 'at the local depot' for four days. Find out what's holding it up and when it will be delivered.”

  • Rearrange a delivery

“A delivery was attempted while I was out. Arrange redelivery for a weekday after 5pm or get it sent to a ParcelShop near my postcode.”

Have these ready

Whether you ring or the assistant does, Evri will want some of these before they will talk about your account.

  • 16-digit tracking number
  • Delivery address and postcode
  • Calling card or ParcelShop receipt number, if you have one
  • Retailer and order number

Save them once in Settings and every call starts with them filled in. The assistant only gives a detail when it is asked for it, and it is hard-coded to refuse payments and contract changes.

Let it ring Evri for you.

First 5 calls are free while we're in beta. The assistant never pretends to be human, and every word is yours to keep.
